Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said on Wednesday that Sadbhawna rallies were contributing a lot towards peace, harmony and prosperity in the state and proving very helpful in bringing the people closer.
Sukhbir said this during his visit to Bargari village on Wednesday. He was there to attend a marriage function at the house of a close aide.
The deputy chief minister said that the elections in 2017 would be contested on the issue of development as the state has made a lot of development during the SAD-BJP rule.
Sukhbir said that the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) combine was sure to form the government the third time by winning the elections in 2017.
The deputy CM also paid obeisance at the gurdwara in the village where a sacrilege incident had taken place on October 12. It was his first visit to the village after the incident.
