Claiming that the SAD-BJP government's Goa 'Chintan Shivir' was a luxury trip at the cost of the taxpayer, People's Party of Punjab chief Manpreet Badal has said that the sanjha morcha would organise a 'Punjab Da Chintan' on April 15-16.
"The SAD-BJP's Chintan Shivir is far-removed from the problems of state. It aims to discuss money arrangement for the Lok Sabha polls," Manpreet told Hindustan Times.
On the two-day meet, he said that on the first day, the PPP would discuss the state's problems and on the second, sanjha morcha leaders would join them in offering solutions to the woes.
"The session will focus on the prevailing corruption in the system, apart from the poor infrastructure and deteriorating law & order," he added.
"Representatives of every sector will be invited to present their views on the failure of system, so that solution could and discussed."
He alleged that deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal owed his political success to money power collected after looting the state ex-chequer.
"The employees, especially the police, have been politicized in the ruling regime's blind ambition to win elections."
He also added that the state government lacked any vision or the political will to strengthen and streamline governance. On any possible alliance before the Lok Sabha polls, he said: "It is too early to comment. The issue is yet to be discussed. We will cross the bridge, when we come to it."
"Our aim is to strengthen the PPP and cement sanjha morcha forces. The question of political alliance will be finalised after mutual discussion among stake holders."
