Sanjha Morcha stages dharna, asks for better law and order in state

The Sanjha Morcha (amalgam of the People's Party of Punjab, Left groups, and the Shiromani Akali Dal, Longowal) staged a symbolic dharna on Friday outside the mini secretariat here to ask for better law and order in the state.

The Sanjha Morcha (amalgam of the People's Party of Punjab, Left groups, and the Shiromani Akali Dal, Longowal) staged a symbolic dharna on Friday outside the mini secretariat here to ask for better law and order in the state.


"Crime against women, in particular, has risen under the rule of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)" Bupinder Singh Sangatpura, executive president of the PPP in Faridkot stated in a memorandum submitted to the tehsildar. "Political interference in the functioning of the police has also made the people scared."
