School children visit Govind Gowdham temple

Ram Lal Bhasin Public school, for the kindergarten children, organised a special visit to Govind Gowdham on Hambran road here on Tuesday.

The architecture of Govind Gowdham temple depicts the childhood stories of Lord Krishna. Welcoming the tiny-tots, the head priest of the temple showed several statues portraying the sagas about the upbringing of Lord Krishna.

The children visited Gow Ghat also where the cows were a great attraction for them. From the priest, the little visitors gathered knowledge about the playful life of the Bal Gopal.

"At Govind Gowdham temple, we worship Lord Krishna and get his blessings. The entire environment is full of sanctity," said the head priest.

The students were served prasad and sweet cold water. The kids enjoyed the visit and it aroused great interest among them about the life of Lord Krishna.

School principal Suman Arora praised the teachers who took charge of the trip and introduced the children with the life and deeds of Lord Krishna.

School president Balraj Bhasin, too, appreciated the efforts of the teachers and the principal.
Bhasin said such visits to religious places played an important role in the life of children.
