Security agency's guard murdered in Sangrur
A 50-year-old security guard of the city-based security agency,Third Eye, was murdered here on Thursday night.

The deceased, identified as Avtar Singh of Ubhawal village of the district, was deputed at the main gate of the office of the agency, when he was attacked with a knife in the chest. The agency is owned by retired deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Ashok Mohan.
Talking to Hindustan Times, Sangrur (city) police station in-charge inspector Sukhdev Singh said that the incident took place at around 11 pm. When he was brought to the hospital with bleeding wounds, doctors declared him dead after 15 minutes.
The police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC against unknown person(s) on the complaint of his brother.
Ashok Mohan said that Avtar Singh was deputed at the gate of the agency's office. "I got a phone call about the incident at around 11:15 pm. I rushed to spot and took him to the civil hospital, but doctors could not save him," he added.
The SHO said that the police have started investigations and will take the help of CCTV cameras to get a clue about the culprits.
