As per the directions of the State Election Commission, the Punjab police was determined to make foolproof security arrangements in the Bathinda Police zone.
Nirmal Singh Dhillon inspector general police Bathinda zone on Monday reviewed the security arrangements with all the senior police officials of the Moga, Ferozepur and Faridkot districts.
He said all the district police chiefs have been directed to take immediate steps for the early deposit of the licensed weapons ad desired by the State Election Commission.
Moga district alone according to IG Zonal 2075 police personnel including 1063 police constables, 568 head constables, 361 home guard jawans and 85 ASIs and SIs will be put on poll duty and intensive patrolling under the direct supervision if 02 SPs and 05 DSPs stop Police was also directed for special nakas to check inflow of liquor and drugs.
