Seven booked for attacking woman, snatching earrings

The Nakodar city police have charged Kirandeep Singh alias Johney, a resident of Pandori Mor colony, and his six unidentified accomplices with assaulting a woman and snatching her earrings.

The Nakodar city police have charged Kirandeep Singh alias Johney, a resident of Pandori Mor colony, and his six unidentified accomplices with assaulting a woman and snatching her earrings.

Kashmir Kaur, a resident of the same colony, complained to the police that the accused attacked her in fields, injured her and snatched her earrings. Investigating officer (IO) Mohinder Singh said that a case under sections 323(voluntarily causing hurt), 341(wrongful restrain), 379(theft), 506(criminal intimidation) and 148,149(rioting) of the IPC has been registered. The IO said that a counter case has been registered against Kashmir Kaur and others also.
