Seven districts get new SSPs

The Punjab government on Wednesday issued posting/transfer orders of 14 Indian Police Service (IPS) and 13 Punjab Police Service (PPS) officers, shifting the senior superintendents of police (SSPs) of seven districts.


The new SSPs are Gurmeet Singh Randhawa (Faridkot), Gurmeet Singh Chauhan (Fatehgarh Sahib), Mandeep Singh Sandhu (Sangrur), Sukhwant Singh Gill (Gurdaspur), Rajpal Singh (Fazilka), Hardyal Singh Mann (Patiala) and Manmohan Singh (Amritsar-rural).

The IPS officers with new postings include Sanjiv Gupta (DGP, prison reforms), SK Asthana (IG, V&S, with additional charge of Powercom), Ishwar Chander (IG, border zone, Amritsar), B Chandrashekhar (IG, Zonal-II, Jalandhar), Gurpreet Deo, (IG, training-cum-additional director, Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur), RP Mittal, (IG, Commando Battalion, Bahadurgarh), Tehal Singh Dhaliwal (IG, internal vigilance cell), Rakesh Chandra, (IG, security-II, Chandigarh), Mohnish Chawla (DIG, Ferozepur), Pramod Ban, (DIG, special protection unit), LK Yadav, (DIG, investigation/crime wing). Harsh Kumar Bansal, (DCP, Ludhiana) and Paramvir Singh Parmar (Commandant, 1st India Reserve Battalion, Patiala),

The PPS officers with fresh postings include Gurpreet Singh Gill (Commandant, 36th Battalion, PAP, Bahadurgarh), Harcharan Singh Bhullar (Commandant, 4th Commando Battalion, SAS Nagar), Jaspreet Singh Sidhu (DCP, Jalandhar), Sarabjit Singh (Commandant, 75th Battalion, PAP, Jalandhar), Gurpreet Singh Toor (Zonal AIG, CID, Ludhiana), Rakesh Kumar Kaushal (Commandant, 3rd Commando Battalion, SAS Nagar) and Sukhdev Singh Kahlon (SP Crime-1, Chandigarh).
