The Panchkula woman called on Punjab and Haryana governor Kaptan Singh Solanki (who is also UT administrator) on Thursday, seeking registration of an FIR against senior IAS officer SN Roy for her alleged sexual exploitation by the latter.
Talking to newspersons outside the Raj Bhawan, the woman said that she had requested the governor for registration of an FIR against Roy as was the normal procedure. She said that she suspected being followed by some unknown persons and that she would seek security in days to come, if the need be.
The woman had on February 2 submitted a complaint to Haryana DGP YP Singal, alleging that Roy had been exploiting her for the past more than three years on the pretext of marriage after lying to her that he was divorced.
Roy, in his explanation to the state chief secretary, said that the complainant was blackmailing him and that she was levelling baseless charges only to extort money from him. He alleged that she had been threatening to implicate him in a false case of rape in case he did not pay her Rs 10 crore.
The Haryana government on Tuesday last had asked Roy, principal secretary, urban local bodies department, to proceed on leave, as the complaint lodged by the woman was being inquired into by a special investigation team (SIT) of the Chandigarh police.
