SGPC honours US Sikh girl for participating in international conference

A resident of Colorado in the US, Naurin came to pay obeisance at Golden Temple along with her relatives.

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) honoured the US based Naurin Kaur Singh who was reportedly nominated as a delegate for International Human Rights Conference organised at United Nations head quarters on Thursday.

A resident of Colorado in the US, Naurin came to pay obeisance at Golden Temple along with her relatives. The SGPC secretary Roop Singh lauded her for brightening name of the community across the world. 

She was presented a siropa (rob of honour) and a picture of Golden Temple as a momento. While talking, she said that the SGPC should make efforts to impart quality education to the students to enable them for acquiring key positions on the international platform.
