SGPC team to leave for Pakistan for 'kar sewa' on Saturday

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has appreciated the decision of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to give the 'kar sewa' of gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan to it.

At an executive meeting held at Gurdwara Degsar Sahib near Katana in Ludhiana on Friday, SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar, who chaired the meeting, said, "The SGPC will start the 'kar sewa' of the Kartarpur Sahib shrine from September 22."

The shrine is associated with Guru Nanak Dev and is a very important gurdwara. An SGPC delegation led by Makkar will go to Pakistan on September 20, where all the formalities of the 'kar sewa' will be worked out with the PSGPC, it was decided at the meeting.
