The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Thursday issued a stern warning to the makers of ‘Aag de Kalere’, a programme being shown by Get Punjabi, a social website.

The warning was issued by SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar here after it was brought to his notice that the photograph of Guru Nanak lying between a pair of human feet had been shown in an episode of 'Aag de Kalere'.

Terming this as a shameful act, Makkar asked Sukhwant Dhada, the director of the programme, to immediately withdraw the said picture and seek a public apology from the Sikh community. He said the controversial depiction had hurt Sikh sentiments.

Makkar also asked Get Punjabi to halt this programme on its website. The SGPC warned that if an apology was not sought, the SGPC will take legal action against the director of the programme.
