The Punjabi Yuva Shakti Sangthan (PYSS) has said that the youngsters of the community were not getting their due in Haryana in terms of jobs.
"In the last nine years, only 676 Punjabi youths got government jobs in Haryana out of the more than one lakh," said Neeraj Sachdeva, district president of PYSS, while addressing newspersons here on Sunday.
He vowed to fight this disrimination by making the youths politically aware. The sangathan would hold a state-level rally in August at Hisar. He said that despite their several representations, the government had not declared August 17 (martyrdom of Madan Lal Dhingra) as a holiday. The PYSS is demanding government jobs in proportion to the population.
