SAD second list out: 9 more candidates named for Punjab polls

The ruling party had earlier declared candidates for 69 seats out of the 94 it contests as per its existing pact with the BJP, which contests the remaining 23 out of the 117

Shiromani Akali Dal president and Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Saturday announced nine more candidates of the party for the coming assembly elections, due early next year. The ruling party had earlier declared candidates for 69 seats out of the 94 it contests as per its existing pact with the BJP, which contests the remaining 23 out of the 117.

Here are the nine candidates:

Jaitu: Suba Singh Badal

Bassi Pathana: Darbara Singh Guru

Baghapurana: Tirath Singh Mahla

Mansa: Jagdeep Singh Nakai

Malerkotla: Mohammad Owais

Dirba: Gulzar Singh

Sunam: Gobind Singh Longowal

Sham Chaurasi: Mohinder Kaur Josh

Budhlada: Dr Nishan Singh
