Shiv Sena district president Anil Singla said, “It is a sheer failure of the Jammu and Kashmir government, who were not able to protect the pilgrims. However, the fanatics and religious zealots, who attacked the innocent pilgrims should be dealt with severely and given harsh punishment.”

He said separatist leaders in valley were hell bent to destabilize the “ancient pilgrimage of Hindus, on orders of their masters sitting in Pakistan” said Singla.

He also said that those involved in the attack should not be spared by the state government.

Shiv Sena district youth wing president Anil Sahni said “J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah is hand in glove with those elements who were creating problems in the Amarnath yatra. Safety of Amarnath pilgrims should be the priority of the CM irrespective of religion or caste.”
