Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said that resignation tendered by BJP member of Parliament Navjot Singh Sidhu from Rajya Sabha would have no impact on the SAD-BJP alliance.
“Whether the Sidhu couple goes to Aam Aadmi Party or khaas aadmi party, it would have no bearing on the outcome of the results of assembly polls next year,’’ said Sukhbir Badal on Monday, while replying to a question about possibility of Sidhu couple joining AAP. He said that AAP was a party of disgruntled elements.
Terming AAP convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal as only good for theatrics, Badal said that AAP leader did not come to Sri Harmandir Sahib for performing sewa but to enact a drama which is clear to the people of the state.
He also disclosed that the expenditure incurred on security forces regarding Pathankot attack was already waived off by the Central Government due to the attack being a national issue.
Earlier, while distributing Atta-dal cards to the new beneficiaries, the deputy chief minister termed Kejriwal a big liar who violated his own oath of not joining politics. He also targeted PPCC chief Captain Amarinder Singh as an inaccessible leader and said that the former CM was least concerned about the problems of the common masses.
