The mother and brother of Sukhmanpreet Singh Talwandi, alias Sippy Sidhu, 36, who was shot dead on September 20 in a Sector-27 park, were given a royal ignore by the top brass of the Chandigarh police when they had come to visit the officers in connection with the murder.
Sippy’s mother Deepinder Kaur and brother Jippy Sidhu had come to the police headquarters to meet IG RP Upadhyaya and SSP Sukhchain Singh.
Jippy said that they were asked to wait for an hour and later, the officers refused to meet them. Jippy said more than two months had passed and the police were still to make an arrest in the murder of his brother despite the fact that the family had provided all the vital clues and details. The Sippy’s family had raised suspicion on a high court judge’s daughter, who was known to Sippy and police had questioned her twice.
Jippy said they would try to meet the officers on Thursday if they did not meet, they would decide further course of action accordingly.
