Sirsa parliamentary constituency has registered a record polling of 77.11%, the highest in the 10 constituencies in Haryana that went to poll on Thursday.
Stating that the highest polling of 80.88% in the constituency was registered in Kalanwali assembly segment, where 1,29,753 exercised their franchise out of the total 1,60,430 voters, an official release said on Friday, adding that it was followed by Ellenabad assembly segment, where 80.76% voters cast their votes. A total of 1,34,547 voters cast their vote in Ellenabad.
Rania assembly segment registered 80.51% voting where 1,31,253 voters exercised their franchise. Similarly, polling in Dabwali assembly segment remained 79.63% where 1,44,778 voters cast their vote. In Ratia assembly constituency, 1,51,689 voters exercised their franchise which constitutes 77.89% of the total voters. Tohana assembly segment registered 77.05% voting where 1,56,765 voters exercised their franchise.
In Narwana assembly segment, as many as 1,43,067 voters cast their votes and voting in Narwana registered as 76.27%. In Fatehabad segment, 74.35% voting was registered where 1,62,903 voters exercised their franchise. Similarly, Sirsa assembly segment registered 68.26% voting where 1,24,116 voters exercised their franchise.
Thus, in the entire parliamentary constituency, 75.75% female voters and 78.30% male voters cast their votes.
Out of the total 16,58,575 voters in the constituency, 12,78,871 exercised their franchise. As far as vote percent is considered,
district Sirsa remained on top in the state. Out of the total 8,53,689 voters in the district, 6,64,447 voters cast their vote. Thus, the vote percent of the district remained 77.83 % which is highest in the state.
