SIT to look into disappearance of Gau Sewa Mission chief

A special investigating team (SIT) led by Jalandhar zone inspector general of police (IGP) Lok Nath Angra will look into the disappearance of Gau Sewa Mission president Krishnanand.

A special investigating team (SIT) led by Jalandhar zone inspector general of police (IGP) Lok Nath Angra will look into the disappearance of Gau Sewa Mission president Krishnanand.

Rupnagar range deputy inspector general (DIG) GS Sandhu, senior superintendent of police (SSP) Varinder Paul Singh, and Hoshiarpur SSP Kuldeep Singh are others on the team. Krishnanand’s Mahindra Bolero vehicle was on Friday found abandoned near the Nangal hydroelectric channel.

The state disaster management squad operation to trace Krishnanand in the water will continue on Sunday. Rupnagar SSP Varinder Paul Singh said eight teams were on the job.
