Tony is related to the in-laws of the victim, while Love is Tony's cousin. The accused had also allegedly decamped with gold and some cash after the crime.

Amritsar rural SP (D) Jasdeep Singh said that the case had been registered on the complaint of a resident of Parowal village that she was living with her parents due to some domestic issues with her in-laws.
