The Punjab government has set up collection counters at various places to help government employees and pensioners submit forms under the newly-launched cashless health insurance scheme.
The government has also issued directions to all drawing and disbursing officers (DDOs) to further submit these forms to the insurance company concerned as per the schedule released by the state government.
According to a government spokesperson, every employee/pensioner has to submit forms through the respective DDO by December 15.
A special counter would be set up by the insurance company in the main secretariat, where employees from the main secretariat, Vidhan Sabha and the Punjab and Haryana high court can submit forms. A similar counter would be set up in the mini secretariat for the employees working there.
The DDOs have been directed to collect forms from the counter set up by the Oriental Insurance Company near Khukrain Bhawan in Sector 35 here. Besides this, special counters would be set up in all suvidha kendras at the district level. The DDOs have also been directed to obtain the receipt from the insurance company while submitting forms.
