Spring Daleans bags silver in CBSE national hockey

Budding sportspersons from Spring Dale Senior School proved their mettle again in sports by bagging a silver medal in CBSE National Hockey Championship held at Rampur.

The Spring Dale hockey players also bagged various titles in this event that saw the participation of 12 teams from different schools.

Amrinder Singh, captain of school's hockey team, was declared the best player of the tournament, while Pawan Mittal, a team member, was adjudged the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

Congratulating the team for their commendable performance in the tournament, school principal Rajiv Kumar Sharma said that the school was proud of the achievements of its hockey players.

"They have proved once again that as far as hockey is concerned, Spring Daleans are the best," he said.

He added that the achievement also proved the efforts being put in by the institution for promoting the national sport among the youth in the region, particularly the border belt of Punjab.
