Srishti, Arshjot and Siddarth win titles

Srishti Dhir, Arshjot Singh and Siddarth Goyal won their respective encounters to claim top honours in the different categories of the Shemrock Ace Tennis Academy tournament held at Shemrock School, Sector 69, SAS Nagar, on Monday.

Srishti claimed the crown in the under-12 girls’ section after defeating Navjot Kaur in straight sets. The champion took the first set 4-2, and also conceded two games in the second set before sealing the contest in her favour. In the semifinals played earlier in the day, Srishti had thrashed Simran Garg 6-1, while Navjot had downed Prachi 6-4.

In the under-10 boys’ final, Arshjot eased past Anuvansh Chugh to lift the winner’s trophy. Arshjot registered 4-0 win in the first set, and conceded just one game in the second to complete a lopsided victory.

In the semifinals, Arshjot ousted Jivaj 6-3, while Anuvansh got the better of Parth 6-2.
In the corresponding under-14 final, Siddarth ended the challenge of Akshit Chhabra 4-2, 4-2, to grab the top honour.
Earlier in the semifinals, Siddarth had the better of Mankeerat Singh 8-3, while Akshit had beaten Uddayvir Singh 8-4.
