Stay rooted to true Indian values: Punjab governor VP Badnore to students in Chandigarh

Punjab governor and Chandigarh administrator VP Singh Badnore on Monday called upon students to be true and stay rooted to core Indian values.

Punjab governor and Chandigarh administrator VP Singh Badnore on Monday called upon students to be true and stay rooted to core Indian values.

Addressing students at the 61st Annual Convocation of the Post Graduate Government College Sector 11 in Chandigarh, Badnore said learning is a continuous process and education is the most potent tool that empowers our huge human potential.

“Unity in diversity, the concept of the world as a family, duty towards your parents, teachers and society as a whole, spirituality and care for the environment are ideals you should try to live by,” he said.

The governor asked students to make the best use of their degrees and prove their worth to society and the nation.

Good education institutions are known by its strong alumni, good faculty and bright students, Badnore said.

Modalities are being worked out to bring about parity in cost of education in the government and the private sector besides encouraging vast and inexhaustible means of solar energy, he said.
