Stern action against the aides of parking contractor, who thrashed a 43-year-old trader and his 13-year-old son on June 18, is likely, as the doctors at the civil hospital have diagnosed a fracture in trader’s left ribs.
The x-ray and other tests have been done, and the police are awaiting the report to add sections in the FIR lodged against the aides of the contractor.
Sub-inspector Joginder Singh, additional station house officer (SHO) at Division Number 5 police station, said, “The medical reports of the victim, Deepesh Jain, 43, are pending. The police will add sections in the FIR, as per the recommendation of civil hospital doctors.”
The additional SHO said section 307 (attempt to murder) or section 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) would be added in the FIR as per the recommendation of the doctors.
He said the police had arrested six accused in the case, but all were bailed out later. The police would arrest them again after adding new sections to the FIR.
It is learnt that the aides of parking contractor at multistorey parking at mini-secretariat had thrashed Deepesh Jain and his 13-year-old son after he refused to pay more than the approved parking fee.
When contacted, Deepesh Jain said he was satisfied with the action taken by the police. He said the accused had thrashed him badly due to which his left rib got fractured.
An onlooker had videotaped the whole incident in his mobile camera.
Hindustan Times possesses the video clip. The onlooker had also handed over the video clip to the police.
MORE COMPLAINTS AGAINST PARKING CONTRACTOR’S STAFF
Another victim of harassment at parking lot has come forward with his complaint. A banker, AK Bhandhari, 58, a resident of Kitchlu Nagar shared his complaint with Hindustan Times.
Bhandhari said on June 16 he and his wife had gone to minisecretariat to get some work done.
“As I entered the parking, I realised that it was already 4:45 pm and the work will not get done.
I reversed the car from the gate of parking to go out. Meanwhile, the aides of contractors stopped the car and started humiliating me and my wife,” Bhandari said.
In the meantime, a man came there, and claimed he was a subinspector, and demanded Rs 100 from me.
Even after telling them that I had not parked the car at the lot, the staff abused me without listening to me.
