A consumer accused a departmental store of selling expired food items on Sunday. Chandrakar Shastri claimed that Horlics Oats that he purchased from Easy Day, a departmental store of Bharti Retail Ltd, was found to have crossed the expiry date of January 14. Shastri called up the police to report the matter.

Showing the bill and the packets bearing the expiry date, he said, "When I took up the matter up with store employees, they misbehaved with me."
