A group of 11 students of Delhi Public School (DPS), Khanna, who were on an educational tour to UAE for Youth Earth Summit held at DPS, Sharjah, returned to the city on Thursday.
The summit started on December 6 and continued till December 10.
The objective of the meeting was to give students a platform to debate, discuss and then arrive at viable solutions to environmental issues of pressing concern.
The focus was to invite leading entrepreneurs and distinguished scholars on one hand and ensure participation from schools both within and outside the Gulf.
Students not only gained experience of culture and traditions of the UAE but they discussed and exchanged ideas and imbibed inputs from their interaction with business leaders and professionals. Students had also prepared a presentation on 'Forest fires in Bhutan'.
Students were accompanied by school principal Parminder Duggal and a teacher.
A cultural programme was presented by the students of the participating schools. The school is planning to visit NASA in future.
