Bollywood actor Sonu Sood was in Ludhiana on Wednesday to talk about his new show, ‘Comedy Super Star’ and also meet his young and old fans.
On the occasion, he said, “Punjabis have made a mark in every field and for now it seems they are leading even in the world of comedy. After all, in Mumbai most comedians are from Punjab, especially from the holy city, Amritsar.”
Sood, who hails originally from Moga, a town situated about 40km from Ludhiana, said for his new show, all four leading contestants are from various cities of Punjab, who will now entertain audience at the national level.
“Ever since, I have landed in Mumbai, I realised that with passage of time more and more comedians are coming from Punjab and seeing their talent, I must say that it has no bounds,” said Sood.
“In other words, talent from Punjab is coming up and I am sure in the coming years, many more youngsters will join the industry and touch new heights,” added Sood.
While we spoke to the contestants of this show, Pushpinder Zira, Sanjeev Attari, Minto Qaddian and Rajeev Goldy, they said through this show they learnt lot of professionalism.
“Making people laugh is one of the hardest jobs. For being a good comedian, one must have a very sensitive mind and intelligence. Laughter is the best medicine of life and it silently keeps the stress away. It makes us happy and it should not be forgotten that when we are happy, we can attain any kind of success in life,” they echoed with a big laughter.
Sood on the other hand will judge the show along with Sushmita Sen and Shekhar Suman, which will commence soon on SAB TV channel.
Later in the evening, Sood left for Moga to meet his parents and while leaving said, “You may even touch the sky but never forget your roots, the place where you come from. These roots give us the real strength.”
