Tamilians in Chandigarh worried amid flood fury

The massive flooding across Tamil Nadu have left the people from the state residing in the tricity worried as they are unable to establish contact with their family and friends back home. They have been praying for the well being of their loved ones hit by the ferocious flood.

“I have failed to get through my relatives in Anna Nagar, Chennai. Phone lines are totally dead and here I am totally helpless, expecting their well-being. According to information, there are many who have not eaten anything for the past two days. Heavy rains have washed everything away,”said Sunder Rajan, who resides in SAS Nagar.

“I will seek help from the Tamil Nadu government if needed,”he added. The migrants are glued to the TV sets to regular updates about their city. Raja Pandian, president of Tamil Bhavan, Sector 30, Chandigarh, was fortunate enough to contact his family in Koratur, Chennai.

“My mother called me around 6 pm and narrated the damage the flood caused. I have asked my family to switch off their mobile phones to preserve batteries as there would be no power amid continuous rainfall for two days, as per the media reports” htc
