Visitors at Suwidha Centre of municipal corporation (MC) were inconvenienced after server developed a snag on Thursday evening. The problem continued for long hours and the services were resumed on Friday afternoon.

As the computers were not preparing any new data, most of the visitors were seen returning without getting their work done. The services related to birth and death certificates, property tax, TS-1 among other got affected.

A visitor, Navjit Singh, said, “I came to submit my application to obtain TS-1 certificate but I was unable to submit the file. I was told that the computers are not working due to some technical problem. MC should improve its server as it generally goes down.”

The copies of birth and death certificates, which were already prepared, wre given to the applicants.

The residents also expressed their anger as they had no information when the services will be resumed. Supervisor of Suwidha Center at Zone D, Lakhvir Singh, said the server went down on Thursday while the services were resumed by 12:30 pm on Friday.
