Teen held for sodomising 7-year-old in gym, sent to juvenile home

The Division Number 5 police on Thursday arrested a 17-year-old boy of Jawahar Nagar Camp area for allegedly sodomising a seven-year-old boy of the same locality.

The accused, who is a Class-10 student in a private school, lured the victim with chocolates, took him to a gym and committed the crime.
The victim is a Class-2 student at Jawahar Nagar government school

The Division Number 5 police registered a case under Section 377 (sodomy) of the IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Protection of Children Act following the statement of victim's father.

In his complaint, he said that the accused was a regular visitor to their house. On Wednesday, the accused came to their house and started playing with his son. The accused took his son with him to buy him chocolates, and sodomised him at the gym, when no one was present there.

The complainant said, "After coming back, my son complained of pain and bleeding. When I asked the reason, he narrated the whole incident, following which I lodged a complaint with the police."

Division Number 5 SHO Beant Juneja said, "The police acted swiftly after receiving the complaint and nabbed the accused."

The police on Thursday produced accused before the court, which sent him to juvenile home on judicial remand.
