A local court, on Friday, sent top Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) terrorist Ramandeep Singh alias Goldy to five-day police remand. The police had, however, eight-day remand for him.

He was wanted in the July 2009 murder case of Rulda Singh, then head of the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, a wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and the April 2010 Patiala bomb blast. He was detained by the Punjab police from Chennai airport last week.

Earlier, on November 6, the police had taken him on eight-day remand. The court has also directed the police for regular medical check-up of the accused terrorist.

The sources revealed that the police had been trying to identify the sources of funding and his contacts and links in Punjab and foreign countries.
