The Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) Pass Unemployed Teachers Union Punjab carried out a protest rally from Chattar Singh Park to Bharat Nagar Chowk on Sunday.

Union members raised slogans against the Punjab government for not providing them appointment letters and submitted a memorandum to district revenue officer (DRO) Mukesh Sharma.

Union district president Deep Raja said, “We want to meet chief minister Parkash Singh Badal so that we can put forward our demands. The teachers who have passed the TET in 2011 are still waiting for appointment letters, while posts of teachers are lying vacant in government schools.”
