The members of a non-government organisation, Youth Innovative, have shot off a communiqué to UT adviser Vijay Dev demanding action against the security agency responsible for maintaining security at Le Corbusier centre in Sector 19.

Highlighting the theft of eight wooden heritage chairs and two tables, designed by Pierree Jeanneret, from the Le Corbusier Centre, the NGO has questioned the functioning of the security agency.

It stated the agency, and the UT tourism department staff present on that day failed in their duty, and that responsibility should be fixed by chargesheeting them.

Demanding a probe into the case, the NGO stated the security agency should be blacklisted, and heavy fine should be imposed on it.

“The Le Corbusier centre officials should be charge-sheet, and the contract employees doing official work of the tourism department in the library should not be allowed to sit there,”it stated.

The administration had decided ordering recounting of the heritage inventory in 2011 and 2012.
