Local police has intensified its search for DTO office clerk Raman Singh, data operator Baljit Singh and non-practicing advocate Gaganteshwar Singh in its attempt to crack the fake RC scam. The department is peeved and is desperate for success after it could not secure the police remand of former DTO Bhupinder Mohan Singh.

A look-out circular has been issued for the trio. However, there are apprehensions that the accused might have escaped.

One of the accused, Gaganteshwar Singg, reportedly belongs to a wealthy influential family. He is accused of acting as an agent in the scam and used his links with wealthy individuals to lure them into buying a premium vehicle number.

Raman and Baljit reportedly produced fake documents to facilitate the issuing of fancy numbers and were in the loop with the DTO.
