Six Indian light painters have broken the world record in ‘light painting’ and have made it to Guinness Book of World Records.

Talking to mediapersons at Central Phoenix Club (CPC), three local amateur photographers Satwik Sharma, Ankur Bansal and Sanchit Kapoor claimed that they have created 900 light orbs and have surpassed the record of 200 light orbs, which was created by a group of 12 from USA in 2014.

Three other members of the group are Arun Pandit from Kullu, Shobit Tiwari from Jaipur and Jeswin Rebello from Coimbatore, adding that they have formed the group after meeting on Facebook and belong to different professions

.

Sharma claimed that the record was attempted on July 26, 2015 and the committee for the record book had recognised it on February 9.

He said that the technique has been devised by the group members.
