Ludhiana: Dehlon police on Thursday booked three persons for abducting and raping a minor.

The accused have been identified as Basant Singh alias Babbu of Jageda village, Parminder Singh alias Pindri of Nanakpur and Sattu of Malerkotla.

Accused Basant Singh abducted the 15-year-old girl on the pretext of marriage and established physical relationship with her. Later, he set her out before his two friends, who also gangraped her.

The victim, who is a resident of Pohri village, is a school dropout. She narrated the whole incident to her mother, who lodged an FIR against the accused at Dehlon police station.

In the complaint, victim’s mother said, “On September 27, accused Basant Singh abducted her daughter on the pretext of marriage. He took her to his friend’s shop in Mandi Ahmadgarh and raped her.”

“After outraging her modesty, the accused dropped her at bus stand of Mandi Ahmadgarh and left. As per their plan, Basant’s friends Parminder Singh and Sattu picked her from there on the pretext of dropping her home, but instead took her to a tube well room in Jageda village and gangraped her. Thereafter, they dropped her at Rara Sahib and fled,” she alleged.

Victim’s mother alleged that later Basant Singh called them and told that their daughter was at Rara Sahib bus stand. They went to bus stand and took her home, where she narrated the whole incident to her mother.
