Three students of Class 12 were caught cheating during the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) examination on Thursday.

An unfair means case (UMC) has been made against the students and the report has been forwarded to the Punjab School Education Board for further action.

The cases were detected by district education officer (secondary) Kuldeep Sharma at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Ladowali Road.

The examination centre is for students of open schools. The department has made separate centres for conducting examinations for open schools as the cases cheating are higher at such centres.

The students were carrying chits in their pockets.
