The district task force rescued three child labourers from a factory at Phase 6 in the Focal Point area.
The team comprising members from non-government organisations (NGOs), employees of education department and police visited the factory of Diana Products and found that the children, including two girls, were employed by the owner.
The team took them to the civil hospital for a medical test. According to the medical report, the girls are aged 14-15 years while the boy is 16 years old.
Dinesh Kumar of Bachpan Bachao Andolan, an NGO, who also accompanied the district task force, said girls were fatherless and were forced to work in the factory at a monthly salary of Rs 4,000.
He said the children belonged to Uttar Pradesh and were working at the factory for past 45 days. The three were later presented before the child welfare committee (CWC) that handed them over to their families.
