Three-day conference on justice delivery from tomorrow

The Punjab and Haryana high court, the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal, and the Chandigarh Judicial Academy will host a three-day regional judicial conference on 'Strengthening justice delivery system: tools and techniques' at Sector 43 in Chandigarh from Friday.

The Punjab and Haryana high court, the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal, and the Chandigarh Judicial Academy will host a three-day regional judicial conference on 'Strengthening justice delivery system: tools and techniques' at Sector 43 in Chandigarh from Friday.


An official spokesman said Supreme Court judges Justice B Lokur and Justice AK Goel; chief justices and judges from various high courts in north India; Atul Kaushik, joint secretary, department of law, Government of India, would attend the conference.

Acting chief justice, Punjab and Haryana high court, justice Ashutosh Mohunta, will preside over the conference.

He said the inaugural session would start at 9:00am on Friday and the valedictory session would start at 12:30pm on Sunday.
