Three-day pulse polio drive starts in Jalandhar dist

A door-to-door campaign started under the pulse polio programme on Sunday. Under the campaign, around 59,409 children in the age group of 0-5 years will be administered polio drops in Jalandhar district.

Team of health officials have been formed, who will be visiting around 97,278 houses in urban area and 2,268 houses in rural areas of Jalandhar, Phillaur and Kartarpur.

Dr Kailash Kapoor civil surgeon along with Dr Surender Kumar, assistant health officer inspected the areas like Dilbag Nagar, Basti Peer Dad, Basti Bawa Khel to ensure proper implementation of the scheme.
Meanwhile, the pulse polio drive will continue for the next two days.
