Three held for murdering man in Bathinda colony

The police have arrested three people for the murder of a man in Narsingh Colony near Doomwali on the Bathinda-Dabwali road under Sangat police station. The arrested have been identified as Rajinder Sharma and Deepak, residents of the same locality, and Amit Kumar from Dabwali in Haryana.

The police have arrested three people for the murder of a man in Narsingh Colony near Doomwali on the Bathinda-Dabwali road under Sangat police station. The arrested have been identified as Rajinder Sharma and Deepak, residents of the same locality, and Amit Kumar from Dabwali in Haryana.

Senior superintendent of police (SSP), Bathinda, Inder Mohan Singh Bhatti, said that Ashok, 50, who was a bachelor, had shifted to the locality about seven months ago by selling his property at Dabwali in Harayna.

"The accused used to go to the victim's house often and knew that he had some cash with him at the house. On June 22 evening, they had drinks and entered the victim's house and murdered him with a scissor and took away cash from the house," said Bhatti.

The victim was found brutally murdered at his house on June 23 morning and panchayat member Mahinder Kaur had noticed his body in a pool of blood. The Police have recovered scissor used in the crime and Rs 6,300 from them.
