Three killed, 18 injured as bus overturns in Dasuya
Three pilgrims, including a woman, were killed and 18 others injured, two of them critically, when their tourist bus overturned near Guru Teg Bahadur College for Women in Dasuya today.
Three pilgrims, including a woman, were killed and 18 others injured, two of them critically, when their tourist bus overturned near Guru Teg Bahadur College for Women in Dasuya on Saturday.
According to police, the deceased Ashok Kumar (17) and Bhupinder Singh (18), both from New Delhi, died on the spot while Archana Gupta, wife of Anil Kumar Gupta of Rajasthan, succumbed to her injuries on way to Civil Hospital in Jalandhar.
All the injured pilgrims were admitted to Civil Hospital in Dasuya from where Santosh Rani of New Delhi and Archana Gupta were critical were referred to Civil Hospital in Jalandhar due to critical condition.
The pilgrims were going to Vaishno Devi in Jammu and Kashmir to pay obeisance from Delhi. The driver lost control over the steering while saving a car due to which it overturned.
The other injured were identified as Parveen Kumar, LP Rakhi, Harsh Rakhi, Sandeep and Ajay Kumar, all from Uttar Pradesh; Deepankar Monali, Chander, his mother Sonia Gupta, Rajesh, Mamta, Parkash Rani, Krishan Lal, Sandeep, all from New Delhi; and Daulat Ram from Jammu and Maya from Himachal Pradesh.
