Injured non-resident Indian (NRI) Tarsem Singh, 30, revealed that he and his family had returned from UK about two weeks ago and they were all going to the pilgrim site to thank God for blessing them with a daughter. They had hired a driver to drive the SUV which belonged to his father-in-law.

Tarsem, his wife Amandip Kaur, 10-month old daughter Sehajpreet, aunt Ranjit Kaur and sister Baljit Kaur were seriously injured. They were admitted to Hoshiarpur civil hospital from where they were referred to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana.
