Three tourists killed in HP road mishap

Three tourists from Madhya Pradesh were killed and at least six others injured after their taxi skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near Manali today, police said.

Three tourists from Madhya Pradesh were killed and at least six others injured after their taxi skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near Manali on Saturday, police said.


The taxi carrying nine people, including seven tourists was going from Manali to Rohtang Pass when it fell into the gorge near Rani Fall, around 40km from Manali, a police official told IANS.

He said the tourists were from Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa town.

The victims, belonging to two families, have been identified as Sikander Chauhan, Asif and his son Rehyana.

The injured have been admitted to the Lady Willingdon Hospital in Manali.
