Jaspal Kaur, a resident of Shankar village complained to the Jalandhar (rural) SSP that she gave ` 2 lakh to Rajwant Singh, resident of Talwara in Hoshiarpur and his wife Sukhjit Kaur for facilitating her daughter's migration to Canada.

In an another case, Kamaljit Singh, a resident of Gill village, complained that he gave ` 8500 to Mangi, a resident of the same village for facilitating his migration to Kuwait
The accused did not sent anybody abroad and neither returned the money.
SHO Dilbag Singh said the accused have been booked under section 406 (breach to trust) and 420 (cheating) of the IPC .
