Top officials inspect railway station, stress on cleanliness

Chief commercial manager (CCM) Ashok Kumar on Saturday conducted a surprise visit to Ludhiana railway station.

Chief commercial manager (CCM) Ashok Kumar on Saturday conducted a surprise visit to Ludhiana railway station.

Divisional commercial manager (DCM) Tarlok Singh and divisional traffic manager (DTM) SP Singh Bhatia also accompanied him.

The CCM stresses on cleanliness of the station, stating that cleanliness should be observed on regular basis and the people violating norms should be punished strictly.

Meanwhile, Ludhiana railway staff requested the CCM for more jet pressure cleaning machines - the station has only one jet machine, which is not sufficient for seven platforms.

The CCM asked the local authorities to forward their demand.

He also asked the local authorities to send demand if something else was needed for maintaining cleanliness on the station.

The CCM also visited booking office and checked performance work while dealing on window.

The CCM along with DCM and DTM also inspected vendors' stall on the platforms.

Station superintendent RK Sharma and deputy station superintendent (Commercial) VK Bhatia also accompanied
him during the inspection.
