The Moonak police, on Tuesday, intercepted a truck loaded with 13 bulls at the Moonak sales tax barrier. The driver of the truck managed to escape, but the police rescued the bulls. The police said that president of the Gaushala at Moonak Jagdish Goel had got a tip-off about the truck carrying 13 animals for slaughter.
When the police stopped the truck at the barrier, they found 13 animals stuffed inside the truck with their legs tied with nylon ropes. However, all the animals were alive and after the medical examination of these animals, they were handed over to the gaushala.
The police have registered a case under Section 295 A (Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act) of the IPC.
