Two arrested with pistols, narcotic powder in Amritsar
In a breakthrough, the Amritsar (rural) police claimed to have nabbed a gangster named Sajan Kalyan and his accomplice Hardik Singh and seized two pistols, five cartridges and narcotic powder from their custody on Wednesday.

Detailing about the catch, senior superintendent of police (SSP) Harkamal Preet Singh said, “The police party had laid a naka near Pandori Warraich. When two persons coming on a motorcycle were signaled to stop, they instead turned back and started running. The police started a chase and nabbed them.”
During search, a stolen motorcycle, a pistol and 270 grams of narcotic powder was recovered from Sajan while a pistol and 260 grams of narcotics powder was recovered from Hardik, the SSP said.
The SSP said Sajan has formed a gang that indulged in notorious activities and had ran away from police custody in April after throwing chilli powder in the eyes of the cops.
Official added the accused face around ten cases each in various police stations.
