The Kabbarwala police have booked two brothers, residents of Sarawan Bodla village for the murder of a 17-year-old youth from the same village over the issue of Rs 300 only.
According to sources, Jasvir Singh alias Jassa wanted his Rs 300 back from the two bothers over some transaction of a mobile phone. When Jassa allegedly demanded the money from the two near a liquor vend in the village on Tuesday night, a heated argument took place between the two parties.
After some time, both the accused managed to lure him to the village crematorium where they killed him with a sharp-edged weapon and hid his body under some.
When the victim did not return home for long, family members carried out a search operation for him. Then they found the body in near the cremation ground.
"The police have booked Pritam Singh and Gora on the complaint of Amrik Singh, father of the deceased under section 302(murder) and conducting raids to arrest the two," said inspector Gursewak Singh, SHO Kabbarwala.
